Top-activated gas lift, suitable for the abovementioned chairs

Manufactured with a Humanscale-specific activation button. This gas lift has a 130mm stroke, and a 42mm drop-through taper.

NOTE 1: If you have difficulty removing your existing gas lift from the 5 star base, simply re-use your existing gas lift’s outer column. Humanscale gas lifts can be extremely difficult to remove from their 5 star bases. If you are a DIY’er, remove the gas lift from the chair mechanism and strike the bottom of the outer column as hard as you can with a small sledge hammer. If it does not come out after one or two strikes then do not attempt to remove it any further – just replace the inner gas cylinder.

NOTE 2: The adjusting screw is required for Humanscale gas lift installations. Avoid using generic button style gas lifts which tend to have a high profile.
