270mm Drafting Chair Gas Lift

This gas lift is commonly ordered for most chairs being used at a high bench; for example a drafting stool, laboratory stool or an old-school bank teller’s chair. This type of gas lift is often used with a footring as pictured (sold separately). Definitely not suitable for task chairs or high back executive chairs.

The best way to check if this gas lift is suitable for your chair is to measure the height range. To do this, put your chair in its lowest position. Now measure the height from the floor to anywhere along the side of the seat. Next, raise your chair to its maximum height. Once again measure from the floor to the same location on the side of your seat. Now add 2cm to your measurement. The difference should be approximately 270mm (27cm).
