Help choosing your office or salon chair gas lift
Got a sinking office chair? Then you need a new gas lift!
To find the most suitable gas lift for your chair, simply select the closest match from the list below. For Herman Miller Aeron, Herman Miller Mirra1, Herman Miller Mirra2, Herman Miller Embody, Formway Life, Steelcase Gesture, Haworth Zody, Hag Capisco, and Humanscale World, Liberty, Freedom and Smart chairs, go to the heading Specific Models below.
NOTE: This is a guide only as we are unable to guarantee which base and mechanism combination your current chair has. The best way to check is to measure the minimum and maximum height of your chair – calculate the difference, then add 20mm – the result will be the gas lift stroke required. The general exception to this rule are bar stools which can have a stroke of 200mm but use an internal gas lift that has a 270mm stroke. Bar stool manufacturers achieve this by using a 60-70mm internal spacer.
Example:
(Maximum seat height 550mm) – (Minimum seat height 430mm) + 20mm = 140mm
