Genuine replacement gas lift for Herman Miller Aeron Size, A, B or C Classic or Remastered chairs with a TOP ACTIVATED button. If your old gas lift has a button activator at the top or has the product code 1BOWM8 stamped on the side, then this is a suitable replacement.

Other cheaper alternative models will work, however this is the preferred gas lift because the pin-style button on the top of the gas lift fits snugly inside the gas lift activation lever when it’s depressed. Using the cheaper variety will eventually cause the plastic gas lift button to wear down over time – the result being the gas lift won’t activate and may need adjustment from time to time.
