This product is suitable for many standard office chairs with high-rise bases, and is also an excellent generic replacement for Herman Miller Aeron Remastered, Mirra 2 and Haworth Zody chairs (Zody chairs manufactured after September 2011 use the side-activated gas lift here).

For Herman Millers chairs: This gas lift may require the adjustment of the set screw above the gas lift button. The set screw is located under the seat of your Aeron chair. Adjustment is a simple procedure, which requires a half to full turn of the adjusting screw with an allen key (you can see the small adjusting screw on the far right in the video below).

NOTE: Not suitable as a replacement for side activated gas lifts or Herman Miller Aeron Classic.

QUALITY: These are high quality commercial grade CLASS 4 gas lifts, offering a safe working load of 160kg.

HOW TO CHECK IF YOUR HERMAN MILLER AERON IS TOP-ACTIVATED: The video below shows how a top-activated gas lift works on a Classic Aeron Chair. Remember, the button/lever to control the gas lift is on the side of your chair, however it is activated from the top as shown below. Note: The plastic mechanism cover has been removed in this video for ease of viewing.
